Hello all Enfield’s gardeners,
Now the better weather is here, it is time to get your gardens ready for Enfield in Bloom’s Annual Competition. The entry form for this year’s competition is now available and you can enter on line.
There are lots of categories and hopefully, one of them is suitable for your garden.
No garden is too small and what we are looking for is visual impact, difficulty of cultivation and maintenance, all year round interest, planting suitable to location and environmentally friendliness. Design and layout and difficulty will also be taken into consideration as well as cleanliness and quality and quantity of plants. Not all of these will apply to all gardens but are a guidance.
Environmentally friendly gardens where possible, will include water butts, bird feeders etc.
The highest standard will be awarded with a “Gold” and there are also Silver and Bronze standards. There can be more than one winner at each of these levels. Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners are invited to receive these at an Awards Ceremony at the Royal Chace Hotel in November.
It’s free to enter, so give it a go!
