Planting in Jubilee Park

On Friday November 1st Enfield in Bloom attended an Edmonton and district Rotary Purple4Polio planting in Jubilee Park.
The Mayor Cllr Kate Anolue and Cllr Bernie Lappage were there with Senior and other members of Rotary, in the rain, to encourage the children from Hounsfield and Sparksfield Schools plant thousands of purple crocus bulbs, near the tennis courts, Rotary have been working Worldwide for over 30 years to rid the world of Polio. The colour purple is important as it is the colour of the dye used on children’s fingers when they have been immunised against Polio.
